The spiciness of the black pepper enhances the flavor of this easy-to-make beef teriyaki.
You can serve this on top of a bowl of rice, as an item for lunch, etc. This is a dish made possible thanks to Cook-zen.
Ingredients
200-250g thick sliced beef
1 clove of garlic (finely minced)
2 tsp olive oil
3-4 tbsp Soy sauce
1 tbsp mirin
1-1 1/2 tablespoon of sugar
1 tbsp black pepper
For thickening
1/2 tbsp potato starch
2 tbsp water
Put olive oil and garlic in the Cook-zen and heat it in the microwave for 30 seconds without a lid. Add the beef, soy sauce, mirin, sugar, and pepper. Set the inner lid in the "closed" position. Place the outer lid on, and heat in the microwave for 5 minutes. After heating, remove the meat onto a plate.
Combine potato starch with water, add it to the sauce from step 1, and mix well. Set the inner lid to the "closed" position. Place the outer lid on and heat in the microwave for 30 seconds. Mix well with a whisker, and pour it over the meat from step 1.
